Requests For Mentors. Over the last few months MentorNet has received several applications from prospective mentees seeking seasoned senior practitioners as mentors. If you can help another member find his or her way in any of the areas listed below please contact the co-chairs of MentorNet Kimberly Day Lewis (kdaylewis@daylewis.com) and Angela Clemente (aclemente@netzero.net). Mentor – Mentee pairs work out the scope and details of the mentoring relationships, therefore you have full control of the length and depth of the commitment.
Completing Your Online Directory Skill Profile helps. One way every member can help MentorNet is to complete their skill profile in the online Membership Directory. So far about 12.5% of the membership has completed a profile. In May you received an e-mail message from the Devon office announcing the improved online directory and giving you an ID and password. If you did not receive the message or deleted it, please contact office@prodn.org to get your id and password. NPG and MentorNet Working Together. Since many requests for mentors come from new practitioners, the New Practitioners Group SIG and MentorNet will collaborate more going forward. We intend to offer alternative formats of mentoring, including panels and peer mentoring. We invite senior practitioners willing to share your career journeys to contact Cynthia Brancato, chair of the NPG SIG, Kimberly Day Lewis, or Angela Clemente. |
