Monday-Tuesday, February 25-26 - Special Learning Event

facilitated by Antje Mattheus and Lorraine Marino

Who should attend this workshop?

Consultants, trainers and leaders of European-American descent -- white people -- who want to strengthen their self awareness and ability to address racism and racial issues -- at the level of individual, group, and systems. It is also intended for whites who want to learn to become better allies with other whites and people of color to work toward a nonracist society. Also encouraged to come are consultants who might think they’ve already "been there, done that" with diversity or feel frustrated by previous experiences in diversity programs. We are our best instruments: the more we do our own work, the better we are able to support our clients.

Thursday, February 28 Monthly Program

with Frances Johnson, Ph.D.

Business leaders who maintain that emotions are best kept out of the work environment do so at their organization's peril. Theories on emotional intelligence (EI) have radically altered common understanding of what "being smart" entails.

Thursday, March 21 Monthly Program

with Tricia Steege and Tione Kormanik

The use of technology in business and society will change the world more in the next ten years than in the last fifty. Today, when we think we are already overwhelmed by the speed of the movement of the world, we are only using 20% of the capability of what technology can do for us. It is no longer a “nice to have” – it is changing the way the world thinks, plans and behaves. What will be the impact for us as consultants and what change opportunities will it provide for us to influence?

PRODN Activities

A GREAT WAY TO GET INVOLVED...

PRODN's Steering Committee needs someone to assume the role of Treasurer. While this person does oversee PRODN's finances, it does not require in-depth accounting knowledge. This is a great way to get involved with PRODN, contribute to our community, and spend time with colleagues. We need to find someone to fill this role as soon as possible. The candidate will complete the current term, through June, and the next term, through June of 2003. Please call or email Kim Eberbach with your interest: 215-836-4326 or keberbach@onemain.com .

REPORT ON THE JANUARY 24 PROGRAM

Professional storyteller and author Robin Moore was our guide on Thursday, January 24 as we interactively explored the basic building blocks of story and how we can use story as a powerful tool for communication, leadership and organizational change. Along the way, Robin told some of his own stories and shared tricks of the trade that allowed him to receive the title "Storyteller of the Year" for 2001. Click here to read how two people experienced this meeting.
