Explore the question: "What is in it for me..." The it being
diversity, cultural competence, and the skills that we have learned at
different levels of system.
For example at the system level; the Race Dialogue Group has gained new
insights, competencies and confidence to work in organizations where
differences are magnified. At the group level; we have discussed and learned
about how "the other" groups (members) and members of our own (race)
group see the issues. And at the individual Level; we’ve engaged,
confronted, resolved conflicts, while staying in relationship with each other.
It has been a wonderful experience, connecting with others across race and
difference using race as our vehicle. This is an important session, come to
learn "how to" begin the process and get information about other
programs on this topic to follow. Tell your colleagues and bring an OD friend.
Maybe a friend who is of a different race.
