You are invited to experience a unique leadership development opportunity based on the work of Barry Oshry
THE PHILADELPHIA WORLD WIDE WEEK OF PARTNERSHIP (W3P)
OCTOBER 22 AND 24, 2013

During the World Wide Week of Partnership,  Organization Workshop Trainers and consultants across the globe conduct workshops aimed at supporting the efforts of educationalcharitable and service organizations in their local communities. Our goal is to increase mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation. Since 1975, Power+Systems Inc.’s (Barry Oshry) transformational work has focused primarily on forging partnerships in business, government, and healthcare systems across the globe.   During W3P the focus is on bringing this powerful work to the local non-profit sector. Facilitators are donating their services, so the workshops can be offered at low cost.   The Philadelphia Regional Organization Development Network (PRODN) is organizing three events in support of this week.  See below for information and to register for Where Cultures Meet and  The Organization Workshop.   For more information and to register for the PRODN Learning Exchange see sidebar on right.

  • More confidence in their ability to function effectively in that process
  • An appreciation for the value of organizational cultures different from their own
  • A recognition of the implications of being “dominant” and “other”
  • A concrete framework for developing vibrant organizations that maximize the contributions of its members

The Organization Workshop- Thursday, October 24
Organizations, despite having worthy missions and committed and talented people, regularly fall into painful, unproductive patterns – strained relationships, misunderstandings, lost opportunities, and diminished effectiveness.  What seems personal may not be personal at all.  It may be systemic.
At this workshop participants:

  • Focus on systemic conditions rather than personalities
  • Identify predictable, dysfunctional patterns and how to avoid them
  • Gain an appreciation for the difficult issues people deal with at all levels of the organization
  • Learn strategies for building successful partnerships

Where: International House (3701 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA)
Time: 8:30am-4:30pm
Cost: $50.00 includes materials and continental breakfast (lunch is on your own)
In order to gain the most from this workshop, we strongly suggest you bring a “cross-level” team from your organization.
Space is limited.  Registration includes free admission to the Learning Exchange.
